@Lynne At the end of the day if your horse is trained properly you shouldn't have to use torture devices to try and keep them under control, I'm not into all the touchy feely stuff in horse training but I believe you should work as a team not try and control each other. My views are very strong with using these devices and there is NO good reason to ever use one and I have worked training race horses and with my horses you never needed them.

We took a two year old to a show he entered the box very well when we were leaving, but on trying to load to return home he would not go into the box, it took seven hours (not joking) we tried everything and help from very experienced people, we did it eventually but with great difficulty. WE were advised to use a chifney bit on him next time. any advice out there.
